Program requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (in any major)
  • Foundational knowledge of economics, basic statistics, and financial accounting
  • Two years of relevant work experience
  • Active membership in IMA
  • Requirements to maintain CMA certification:
    • 30 hours CPE annually
    • CPE must include 2 hours of ethics training
    • Maintain active IMA membership

About Jan

Jan Kooiman holds a doctoraal Masters in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam. He worked for an accounting and audit firm before stepping into the professional as CFO and Board member of an international company. Jan is a qualified transactional Six Sigma Black Belt and Instructor, and is adjunct Professor of Finance, Business and Accounting at the Webster and Leiden University, teaching MBA, CMA and MsC Corporate Finance and Management Accounting. He is also the program manager and acknowledged Subject Matter Expert of the Certified Management Accounting (CMA) program at the World Trade Center Amsterdam. Jan combines business experience and thought leadership with the rigor of academic discipline. Jan holds the professional position of VP Financial Business Process Improvement (SEP - Smart Enterprise Processes) at Genpact Netherlands @ www.genpact.com
